Q.
HarvardKey

Do I need a HarvardKey to access Special Collections and Archives material?

Why can’t I access some Special Collections and Archives content online?

A.

HarvardKey is Harvard University’s secure login credential system for Harvard affiliates. While we strive to make as much content as possible available to the general public, some material is limited to the Harvard community due to factors such as copyright and publisher agreements. We cannot create HarvardKey accounts for researchers outside of the Harvard community.

Please Ask Us! or reach out to the Baker Special Collections and Archives Reference Staff directly at specialcollectionsref@hbs.edu if you have questions about accessing specific material or any additional questions about our collections or services. Some material that is not available through Harvard catalogs may be available through other sources or eligible for in-person use in our reading room.
